Frequently asked questions
Is the liveness check certified?expand_more
No. Our own engine runs on our servers and is not certified. When a customer needs certified liveness (ISO/IEC 30107-3), a partner engine plugs into the same flow.
What does a document-only check prove?expand_more
It reads the ID barcode and checks that name, birth date and expiry are consistent. It does not prove the person holding it is the owner — for that, use ID + selfie.
Does the person need an app?expand_more
No. The link opens in the phone browser. There is also a socialDNA ID app for iPhone.
Where is it used?expand_more
The seal is reused by your socialDNA apps — for example, MyESign can require a verified signer before the document opens.
